Educational Assistance
After 30 days of employment, eligible employees may be reimbursed for up to $2,000 per calendar year for approved tuition, fees and books.
Good Health Program
In addition to great medical, dental, vision and prescription benefits, Granite also encourages employees to maintain good health by offering:
Wellness Reimbursement
Reimbursement for health club dues, fitness classes and/or home fitness equipment for employees, up to $500 per calendar year.
- 100% of the annual Wellness Reimbursement benefit may be applied to the cost of preventative wellness exams for the employee that are not covered by or only partially covered by our medical insurance.
- Of the $500 total benefit, up to $250 may be used for an approved weight loss program for employees (ex. Weight Watchers or Jenny Craig).
- Of the $500 total benefit, up to $100 may be used to purchase a fitness tracking device (ex. Fitbit or Apple Watch).
Smoking Cessation Program
Reimbursement for approved smoking cessation expenses for employees, up to $100 per calendar year.
LifeLock
LifeLock is the industry leader in the field of Identity Theft Protection and is offered to Granite employees on their date of hire.
Community Involvement
Community Involvement Hours
Granite employees are encouraged to volunteer their time to non-profit organizations to make a difference in our communities. Granite supports these efforts by the following programs:
Paid Volunteer Hours
Employees are eligible to use to up 40 hours a year, inclusive of travel time, to volunteer at non-profit organizations.
Charity Matching Program
Granite will match dollar for dollar charitable donations:
- Made by full-time employees with a minimum of one year of service
- Minimum amount matched per employee is $25
- Maximum dollar amount matched per employee annually is $250
- Contributions must be made via cash, check or credit card to be eligible for matching
- All matched gifts will be paid quarterly
Charity Fee Reimbursement
Granite will reimburse an employee up to $50 per event for participation in runs, walks, and rides for non-profit charities that qualify as a 501(c)(3). Maximum amount of $250 per calendar year.
Technology Reimbursement
To help employees acquire computer products for use at home, Granite will reimburse up to $1,000 every two years for items such as mobile devices, computers, accessories, and software purchased from any retail establishment.
