Nurturing talent and leadership is important to us
LEAD
Each year, Granite selects a team of up-and-coming leaders from across our departments to participate in LEAD, which stands for Leadership, Education, and Development. In this twelve-month program, the LEAD team participates in immersive cross-departmental business training quarterly classes. Team members have the opportunity to explore all aspects of the business from development to property management while honing their leadership skills. It’s one of the many ways we provide opportunities for learning and growth.
Elevate
Each year, Granite invites first-time managers and leaders new to Granite to participate in Elevate. This eight-month course helps them lead with confidence and competence while reinforcing the Granite Purpose as a people leader. Elevate offers the opportunity to foster a blend of education, personal growth and core workplace instruction.

Recognizing Outstanding Employees
Our annual Exceeding Expectations Award recognizes one employee in each of our markets who has, on several occasions during the year, gone above and beyond to exceed expectations. Our most prestigious award, Living the Purpose, annually recognizes one employee at Granite whose work-ethic, behavior and performance reflects the values of Granite’s purpose and promises.
