As an office building owner, manager and developer, we are a part of many communities impacted by COVID-19. Our thoughts go out to those impacted by the virus and our community at large that is being overwhelmed by this pandemic. The wellbeing of our customers, employees, partners and communities are of utmost importance to us. Our Property Experience Team is closely monitoring the situation and providing our customers with critical updates based on recommendations by the CDC and local officials. While we have implemented a “work from home” policy, we have essential personnel onsite to take care of our customers in our buildings, following governmental and municipal requirements.

We know that this situation is creating challenging times for our economy and many of our customers. In our nearly 30 years in business, this is Granite’s third time managing through a disruption and/or downturn. We have always run our business with a forward gaze, so we are able to manage through times like these and continue to be there  – through, and after, the disruption – for our employees, customers and community.

Behind all these business terms – customers, employees, partners, economy – are human beings.  In the immediate moment of this challenge, we are focused on human beings’ safety, comfort and basic needs – for our employees, customers and communities. Granite’s culture is based on four values – Lead. Serve. Create. Improve. – so, during this time we are working closely to live out our values for the benefit of our teammates, customers and communities.  We will rely on the experience, skills and caring attitudes of our team to adapt to this new situation.

While the world is full of uncertainty now, we will all get through this tough time together. Trusting, lasting relationships are forged going through difficult times together and we plan to build on our trusting, lasting relationships with all of you. Stay strong.
