Law Firm WKPZ Relocates to Weslayan Tower

Granite Properties has signed law firm Weycer, Kaplan, Pulaski & Zuber, P.C. (WKPZ) to 16,768 square feet on the top floor of Weslayan Tower. The 20-story, 509,977 square foot Class-A office building just inside the 610 Loop will be WKPZ’s new Houston location after more than 40 years at 11 Greenway Plaza.
WKPZ was represented by EVP Kevin Kushner at CBRE. Granite was represented in-house by Jon Dutton, leasing manager and Steve West, senior director of leasing, Houston.
WKPZ chose Weslayan Tower for its accessibility and convenience and for the opportunity to build out a modern space.

Houston office leasing market is showing signs of life

Office leasing activity, which came to a halt as business leaders throughout the Houston area dealt with pressing workplace issues such as transitioning to a work-from-home environment, is inching back.
While the market is expected to further decline amid COVID-19 and the collapse in oil prices, companies facing lease expirations or that need to move for other reasons are engaging brokers.
Scott Martin, executive managing director of Granite Properties, a Plano-based landlord, said the company has closed 11 lease deals in its buildings since mid-March.

In addition to law firm Weycer, Kaplan, Pulaski & Zuber, software provider Adapt 2 Solutions signed a deal to expand in size from 3,500 to 9,000 square feet at Weslayan Tower in Houston.
HOUSTON — Law firm Weycer, Kaplan, Pulaski & Zuber PC has signed a 16,768-square-foot office lease at Weslayan Tower, a 20-story building located at 24 Greenway Plaza in West Houston. Granite Properties owns the 509,077-square-foot, Class A building, which features a recently upgraded lobby, fitness center and outdoor workspace.
