Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants is the brand behind a new hotel now rising as part of the massive Midtown Union development, where Atlanta-based Invesco LLC (NYSE: IVZ) is moving its new headquarters.
The 13-story, 230-room hotel will include a ground-level, chef-driven restaurant and bar, a second-story bar and lounge and 5,400 square feet of meetings and events space. Midtown Union, a partnership between Metlife Investment Management (NYSE: MET) and Granite Properties, is a 9-acre mixed-use development at Spring, 17th and West Peachtree streets near the Arts Center MARTA station. The new Kimpton in Midtown will be owned by a MetLife affiliate and developed in partnership with Atlanta-based AMS Hospitality.
