In the coming months, a restaurant that’s dedicated to the South’s favorite dinner accoutrement — biscuits — is set to open its doors in Plano.

The Biscuit Bar, a brand new eatery with a menu that focuses on its namesake, is set to arrive at TheBoardwalk at Granite Park in Plano sometime this spring. The restaurant will occupy upwards of 2,200 square feet at the growing development, serving “scratch-made” biscuits topped with egg, charcuterie, and more in a fast-casual format. The Biscuit Bar will also serve dessert biscuits, along with offering a full bar and cocktail menu.

…Plano-based Granite Properties is expanding its restaurant row-style development, called The Boardwalk, to include four eateries, including two new concepts.

The developer has signed B. Frank & Relish and The Biscuit Bar to The Boardwalk, alone with existing eateries Pearl Cup Coffee and Edith’s French Bistro. The concepts are slated to open by the end of the summer.

The eateries will join Union Bear, which opened earlier this month, Chips Old Fashioned Hamburgers and Hookline. Granite is in lease negotiations with one additional restaurant to take the sole remaining shop.

Initially, Granite Properties had designed The Boardwalk to bring six eateries to Granite Park in West Plano, but decided to split two of the restaurant spaces to bring more diversity and creativity to the mixed-used development, said Will Hendrickson, managing director of Granite Dallas.

Hendrickson said The Boardwalk will help create a walkable food destination to the visitors to the full-service Hilton Granite Park Hotel and the office towers at Granite Park.

The remaining restaurant, which is still being negotiated, is expected to open by the end of the year.
