The Biscuit Bar Opens at The Boardwalk in Granite Park

Dallas – April 25, 2018 – Granite Properties, a commercial real estate investment, development and management company, announced today that The Biscuit Bar, a new, fast casual, high quality Southern home-style concept, has officially opened at The Boardwalk in Granite Park, located at the intersection of the Sam Rayburn Tollway (121) and the Dallas North Tollway. The new eatery is now serving lunch and dinner from 11am- 10pm daily and will start serving breakfast at 7am the first week of May.

Founded by husband and wife team Jake and Janie Burkett, The Biscuit Bar offers high quality scratch biscuits with a wide range of toppings. The concept was inspired by a New Year’s Eve spread of custom-made, DIY, biscuit bar sandwiches they created with Janie’s brother, Jacob Allen, in their kitchen, in 2016.

“We love comfort food and think everything tastes better on a biscuit,” said Janie Burkett, co-founder of The Biscuit Bar. “The Biscuit Bar is the perfect place for food lovers who crave biscuits as sandwiches, with toppings or as a dessert, morning, noon or night,” she added.

Menu favorites include The Hoss, named after Janie’s father, made with southern fried chicken, bacon, jack/cheddar, honey butter and house made sausage gravy, The BBar burger, The Chicken & Not-A-Waffle, The FABB, and, the Nanner Puddin’ made with fresh bananas, vanilla bean pudding, ‘Nilla wafers and house made whipped cream. The menu offers tater tots, sweet potato tots and four ways to “style your tots.” The bar offers house made cocktails on tap along with Titos Vodka on tap and Bulleit Bourbon on tap. The restaurant is family friendly and offers a kids menu as well.

The Biscuit Bar spans 2,223 square foot of interior space and a 1,303 square foot of patio space facing the The Boardwalk and the waterfront. Visitors can also watch the biscuits being made from scratch through a large window.

“We’re thrilled to welcome The Biscuit Bar to The Boardwalk and help introduce Dallas and Collin County to a new and exciting food experience,” said Will Hendrickson, Managing Director, Granite Properties. “The Boardwalk has become a top food destination offering great culinary diversity and creativity and a cool place for people to unwind. We’re expecting three more restaurants to open this summer,” he added.

The Biscuit Bar joins Union Bear Brewing, Chips Old Fashioned Hamburgers and HookLine. Three other restaurants are slated to open this summer, including new food concept B. Frank & Relish, as well as two Dallas favorites, Pearl Cup Coffee and Edith’s French Bistro.

The Biscuit Bar is located on 5880 State Highway 121, #102b in Granite Park, Plano. For more information, visit www.thebiscuit.bar or call (469) 238-2227.
