DALLAS – January 16, 2020 – Granite Properties, a commercial real estate investment, development and management company, announced today that Senior Director of Accounting Sheryl Troiani, CPA has been promoted to the newly created role of Chief Administrative Officer effective January 1, 2020. She is now a member of Granite’s Executive Committee, which consists of Michael Dardick, Founding Partner & CEO, Greg Fuller, President & COO, Bill Brown, Chief Investment Officer and Scott Martin, Executive Managing Director. This change in Granite’s organizational structure positions the firm for continued growth and evolution as a thriving, adapting real estate firm.
Troiani will continue to oversee all aspects of accounting, treasury and risk management, and add new cross-group responsibilities for the service company to ensure processes, procedures and inter- and intra-departmental coordination are in place. Troiani will report to Greg Fuller.
“Sheryl has been with Granite for over 26 years and has contributed greatly to our success. She formed several departments at our firm and is a respected and sought-out leader in the organization. She has a deep understanding of our company and how all the groups interrelate. As we continue to evolve and grow our existing markets, enter new markets, and increase the number of projects we’re working on, Sheryl will direct the appropriate resources and structure to help us succeed in the long term,” said Michael Dardick, Founding Partner & CEO of Granite Properties.
Troiani joined Granite as the Controller in 1993. As Granite grew, she started several departments at the company including the accounting group, human resources and IT department. She also led large-scale projects, including a multi-year, cross-company assignment to upgrade building safety and security for Granite’s entire portfolio. Prior to Granite, Troiani served as the Controller at P.O’B Montgomery & Company and before that as the Industrial Division Controller at Lincoln Property Company. Troiani started her career in the audit department at Arthur Anderson & Co. She is a member of Commercial Real Estate Women of Dallas (CREW Dallas) and she serves on the board and is the past president of National Association of Real Estate Companies (NAREC). In 2018, Great Place to Work honored Troiani with the inaugural Great Place to Work For All Leadership Award, which recognized women leaders from companies on FORTUNE’s annual list of the 100 Best Companies to Work For.
